Work on a major update has begun!
As you guys asked, I'm starting to work on an update for High On Track!
I have already prepared a list of changes that will be included in the new update:
• New "open world" game mode (name is placeholder).
No time limit with a non-linear, relatively large track. There will also be a goal to complete, but with a focus on level exploration.
• New "down fall" game mode (may not be the final name).
Endless falling down while driving on the platforms for the best score. A game mode that was originally supposed to be the main game, but was scrapped later in development. You're familiar with this mode from these stupid Tik-Tok videos used to hold the retention.
• Free camera control.
The camera for the current version of the game was developed with a focus on the fact that the player will never have to be distracted by camera control. But it would be a mistake to leave the "open world" mode without the opportunity to look around.
• Improved car models (interior + wheels).
Having the opportunity to look around will be an improvement to see the car in more detail. The interior will make the car not so "boxy", and the improved wheels will finally allow you to see that they are actually rotating.
I did not include in this list tasks for changes in the interface related to new features. But I'm sure it will take a decent amount of time too.
