Showing some love for my first game with the 1.6 update
Since I am gaining experience in game design, I cannot leave my first game "Hell Level Challenge" without improvements. At the moment, this is the 6th time I've made any changes since the release.
Briefly about the game: It is a precision-based platformer with a goal to complete a level in hell with intentionally high difficulty.
This time, the changes affected how fair the game feels to the player, improvements for speedrunners, as well as interface improvements.
Changes made to make the game feel more fair to the player:
• The jump is available for 4 physical frames after losing contact with the ground
• The jump has become a little higher
• The player's hitbox now more accurately represents his form
• Reduced size of fireball and spike hitboxes
• Added immortality for 0.5 seconds after taking damage
Speedrunners will appreciate:
• All obstacles now depend on the timer inside the level, rather than on the timer from the moment it is loaded
• The final menu shows the time to complete the level and the difference with the best value (delta)
Other changes:
• The Unity logo was removed when the game was launched
• Statistics on the number of deaths and the best time have been added to the "Play" menu
• Video settings have been changed to enable switching between multiple monitors
• Added an intro cut scene to display the upcoming path
• For Android devices, the game is now displayed in full screen
Also, it is now available to play in the browser from a PC or smartphone!
Play now or download it to your device using the link below.
